Will AI Automate Your Decline? 3 Ways to Lead with Purpose in a Digital Age

I watched a talk this week that felt less like a tech update and more like a warning.
Gina Raimondo, the former Governor of Rhode Island and former Secretary of Commerce, said something every leader needs to hear.
Actually everyone over 12 needs to hear!
"AI is a technology that will last a century and it needs a response that lasts a century."
And it made me realize just how much we've moved beyond a software conversation.
We're needing a leadership conversation.
This whole AI revolution thing reminds me of the ancient Tribe of Issachar described briefly in 1 Chronicles 12. They understood the times and knew what to do.
That's the big leadership assignment right now.
Not panic.
Not hype.
Not hide.
Understand the times and know what to do.
And it’s bigger than just knowing how to use Claude, Chat, or Gemini.

AI’s moving fast. Your people feel it. Your clients feel it. You feel it too.
So what do wise leaders do now?
1. They double down on WHAT ONLY HUMANS CAN DO.
AI can process information.
It cannot replace judgment, courage, spiritual discernment, or the ability to call greatness out of another person.
This is the moment to get clear on your God-given design and build a Leadership Operating System around it.
The human you.
If your value is task based, you’re exposed.
If your value is rooted in vision, wisdom, and human development, you are essential. Now is your moment to lead.
2. They refuse ISOLATION.
This is not the time for any of us to lead alone.
The leaders who stay sharp are in real conversations with other sharp leaders. They are thinking out loud. Testing ideas. Seeing blind spots.
And in the last few months, I've been able to host what I call "Next Mountain Conversations" for those who see the crisis.... AND the opportunity.
These leaders are asking, “What if the future is not something to be feared, but to be figured out?”

That's why spaces like Whisper Ranch matter. It reminds me of a great book title for our day,
"Revenge of the Analog." Nature. Space. Relationship. Conversation.
Clarity grows in the right room.
3. They lead with a LONG VIEW.
If AI needs a century long response, then reactive leadership will not cut it.
The question is not just how to keep up.
The question is how to help people keep their dignity, purpose, and pride in a world changing this fast.
That’s leadership.
That’s stewardship.
That's critical in the next few months.

The good news: You don’t need to become a tech expert overnight.
But what we're seeing is you actually do need to become more human, more grounded, and more clear. More creative. More collaborative.
You need your Inner Coach awake.
You need to know what season you’re in NOW and what it requires of you.
That’s why I created the Leadership Alignment Assessment.
It takes about three minutes, it’s fully private, and it will help you see where you stand.
You can take it here: https://leaderalignment.scoreapp.com/

And if you want to talk it through, email me at Jeff@TheLeader.Coach.
No pressure. No high pressure sales tactics. Just a real conversation.
With you and for you,
Jeff
